Kyushu Teapot #1 by Akihiro Nikaido 二階堂明弘
This smaller Kyushu teapot by Akihiro Nikaido is a delicate and refined vessel, showcasing the same thoughtful design and subtle elegance as his larger works. Crafted using yakishime, a high-fired, unglazed technique, it emphasizes the natural beauty of clay and develops a unique character over time.
Its compact size makes it perfect for intimate tea rituals, while the refined form and careful attention to detail reflect Nikaido’s mastery of texture, balance, and functional artistry. A rare piece from one of the very first artists we began collecting, it captures the quiet sophistication and timeless quality that define his work.
