Artist Bio
Sun Xiujin is the founder 川和月牙 Ceramic Studio and a ceramic artist trained in Chinese ink painting at the China Academy of Art. He integrates the spirit of ink landscapes into ceramics, using layered slip to create tonal depth, permeability, and a sense of flowing space.
Drawing from the Cizhou kiln tradition and literati ink aesthetics, his work transforms slip decoration into a three-dimensional expression of Eastern philosophy. Spanning functional and sculptural forms, his pieces emphasize material honesty, impermanence, and a quiet, contemplative beauty.
